Boss's Day Cards

So tomorrow (or I guess I should say today) is boss's day. I always say that one of these days I'm going to benefit from this holiday. But,I guess for now, I'll just be the one up all night making the cards. Seems like I'm doing this same thing every year at the last minute.... Actually, I enjoy this kind of stuff, so I'm really not complaining.

My two bosses were easy. They like simple crafty stuff. Charley's boss, however, is a guy... quite a bit of a challenge! So he's not getting a card. He's getting FOOD!! Anyway, I just finished these and I'm sitting here waiting for Charley's boss's dessert to come out of the oven so I can go to bed. So while I'm waiting, I decided to post and read a few blogs. I really should start working on these things sooner!!!

Bridal Shower Book

I was asked to make a book for friend's bridal shower. It was one of those "celebrate the first wedding night" showers, so I was kinda stumped. I wanted it to be flashy, but elegant at the same time. I wasn't able to attend the shower to see her reaction, so I wanted to make sure it was something she would like. Here's a sample of the final result. I hope she likes. it.

Paper Bag Album

Our Team Retreat was August 8th. We had such a blast! We did everything with a camping theme. We started out with breakfast at Cracker Barrell. After that we went to the Spruces up Big Cottonwood Canyon. We played Volleyball, Painted canvases, had a BBQ, roasted smores, and just did team building activities. It was by far one of the funnest retreats I've been on. Since we had so many fun pictures of the retreat, I made this fun little album for our supervisor, Teresa. She loved it!

Girls Basketball Album

I thought I'd dust off this blog and start putting it to use. I really haven't been in the crafting rhythm, but i'd love to get back into it again. I have reactivated my stampin up demonstratorship, and would like to start making enough money to pay for this expensive addiction of mine! So, here goes...

I love paper bag albums. By far they have to be the most versatle and by far the funnest to put together. I've made elegant wedding ones, to simple birthday ones. Fancy Disney ones to bright kids ones. Here's one that I made for the women's basketball team at taylorsville High School. I actually made this one a few years ago for a friend at work. I just gave her the finished album, no pictures. She added all the pictures and the girls presented the book to their coach at the end of the basketball season. I was able to get a sneak peak of the finished album before they gave it to her. Although the album was cute... It is much cuter when the pictures are added.

Flower Purse... Folding Card

This is another stamp club project. All supplies are Stampin' UP. It was made with the 5 in 1 envelope template. Background stamp, a larger flower stamp, a white marker, some ribbon and a velcro dot... that's about it! Perfect for a little girls party invitation.
