Notebooks for the Girls...

Lauren & Holly wanted to give their friends something for Christmas so I thought these little notebooks would be perfect.

As things always do, it actually turned into quite the project! I ended up doing 10 of them! 4 for each of their friends, and then one for Lauren & one for Holly.

And this is what they looked like all packaged up with the matching beaded pens. Each one a little different, but pretty much the same colors. Lauren's friends just said "notes" because I didn't know if it was COOL or not to have a notebook with your name on it in high school. Holly's friends each had names on them...

Father's Day... "DAD" Book

As promised, here are the pictures of the father's day "DAD" book. We (well, Charley) has very few pictures of him and the girls when they were little, so I've been wanting to put them into an album for him. I thought this would be something fun the girls could work on when they were with us on the weekends. Well, turns out we had very little weekend time before father's day, but I still think this turned out great. I cut all the pages on the Cricut (cartridges used are George and Base Camp), put the book together, and the girls did the rest. Oh, and yes, he loved it.

Board Notebooks...

So I learned how to make these notebooks on my cricut with the design studio software. I LOVE them!! I am definately going to make more. They are just made from chipboard and have blank white cardstock between each page. Bound together with the bind it all.

I have a dear friend at work (yes, her name is Connie) who pretty much "donated" all her surplus scrap supplies to my friend and me. She had some great stuff, and I was able to start a collection of supplies for the girls... who by the way I'm hoping will be my life scrap buddies! Anyway, I made this book & beaded pens as a thank you gift for her. She loved it.

Bridal Shower Book

I was asked to make a book for friend's bridal shower. It was one of those "celebrate the first wedding night" showers, so I was kinda stumped. I wanted it to be flashy, but elegant at the same time. I wasn't able to attend the shower to see her reaction, so I wanted to make sure it was something she would like. Here's a sample of the final result. I hope she likes. it.

Paper Bag Album

Our Team Retreat was August 8th. We had such a blast! We did everything with a camping theme. We started out with breakfast at Cracker Barrell. After that we went to the Spruces up Big Cottonwood Canyon. We played Volleyball, Painted canvases, had a BBQ, roasted smores, and just did team building activities. It was by far one of the funnest retreats I've been on. Since we had so many fun pictures of the retreat, I made this fun little album for our supervisor, Teresa. She loved it!

Girls Basketball Album

I thought I'd dust off this blog and start putting it to use. I really haven't been in the crafting rhythm, but i'd love to get back into it again. I have reactivated my stampin up demonstratorship, and would like to start making enough money to pay for this expensive addiction of mine! So, here goes...

I love paper bag albums. By far they have to be the most versatle and by far the funnest to put together. I've made elegant wedding ones, to simple birthday ones. Fancy Disney ones to bright kids ones. Here's one that I made for the women's basketball team at taylorsville High School. I actually made this one a few years ago for a friend at work. I just gave her the finished album, no pictures. She added all the pictures and the girls presented the book to their coach at the end of the basketball season. I was able to get a sneak peak of the finished album before they gave it to her. Although the album was cute... It is much cuter when the pictures are added.
